Redecorating Holiday Fun-Based Activities As New Year’s Eve With The Christmas Lighting
Friday, January 20th, 2012December 31 is the day we celebrate New Year’s Eve, but that wasn’t always the calendar day it was celebrated in the past years. Some 4000 years ago, the Babylonians rejoiced the beginning of the New Year following the first crescent moon after the first day of Spring in respect of the earth being “reborn” following the winter season. We splurge one day in respect of the New Year, but the Babylonians’ ceremony lasted for eleven days! Even if our special events and parties probably pale in comparison to the Babylonian celebrations, our New Year’s Eve party can be sparkling, lovely, and unforgettable when you spruce up with LED lights.
Appetizers are great for New Year’s Eve parties so guests can interact and speak with everyone present. Use white mini LED light sets or battery operated light packs along with champagne glasses, black top hats, loads of curly ribbon in shade of silver and gold, confetti, candles, and glitter on the appetizer table for a great display of your finger foods and drinks.
Are your friends and relatives planning to watch the ball drop on television? Surround your color TV with mini light setup, streamers and curly ribbon because it will be a center during the ball drop and perhaps for some of the press-released festivities following the advent of the New Year.
If you have a huge room where you’ll be drinking, such as family area, great room, function room, or reception hall, use several light sets on the ceiling. String them from a focal point in the middle of the room, suspending them with clear wire all the way to the sides of the room and in between. The ceiling main feature could be dazzling stars, moons, and streamers dangling down at varying intervals from the ceiling.
Welcome your invited guests by using Christmas light stakes to hang traditional C7 or C9 or LED lights along pathways and walkway. Your colleagues will be in a festive mood before they hit on your door!
Battery controlled lights add flicker to any party hat, so think of adding them to your sparkly party hat and make a genuine statement.
Balloons, streamers, and lights are given at a great party, so try them liberally in your passageway, powder rooms, cooking area, eating area, basement, or any other room in your home in which your guests will congregate.
A themed New Year’s Eve party would be appreciated with your guests. Some preferred themes for this holiday might include a Roaring 20’s design, a Black Tie party, a luau, an 80’s or 50’s motif, or an all American theme. No matter which design and color scheme you finally choose, there are a wide variety of colorful mini lights to compliment or conform your New Year’s Eve party decorations.
Is the Christmas tree still standing? Leave the light sets on the tree and switch your Christmas ornaments with New Year’s type decorations that either match or compliment your party theme or in a traditional style. Crystal clear mini lights or warm white mini LED bulbs are the perfect backdrop for glittering stars, fancy top hats, and bulbs.
New Year’s Eve gives us a motivation to celebrate the upcoming year and to enjoy family and friends at the same time. Our mini bulbs, battery operated LED light sets, and our crafted lights offer a great variety of decorating ideas when it comes to bringing light, luxury, or whimsy to your New Year’s Eve celebration.
